Blessing of The Animals At Saint Thomas More Church
Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM
Dear Parish Family,
It’s that time of year again when the barking, purring, chirping, and tail-wagging become a holy symphony of praise! Join us this Sunday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM as we celebrate the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, the beloved patron saint of animals and all creation, with our annual Blessing of the Animals.
Whether your companion is big or small, furry or feathered, calm or… let’s just say "spirited", they are all welcome!
Fr. Antony, Fr. Mendez, and Fr. Joseph Wu will be joyfully offering blessings at the Shrine of Saint Francis, right here at St. Thomas More, with plenty of love and prayer. It’s a beautiful reminder of God’s care for all creatures, and a chance to honor the special bond we share with the animals who walk (or slither, hop, or waddle) through life with us.
So leash 'em, crate 'em, carry 'em (or push 'em in strollers, we’ve seen it all!) and bring them to receive a blessing.
Let’s fill the morning with joy, gratitude, and the sweet sounds of creation.
